Photography: Our Beautiful, Fragile World

White Rock Mountain, snowstorm, Ozark Highlands Trail, Arkansas Is that a glacier hiding there? A stunning picture, devoid of color except for that one splash (and its mirror). Taken during a trip to retrace Darwin’s voyage. Fertilizer: it helps more than just the plants grow. Unfortunately, all that is green is not good for you. The myth that because farmers use the land they are environmentally conscious is just that: a myth. Thing is, each farmer only contributes a small amount. Nonpoint source pollution is one of the hardest problems to solve.
